Form Constancy is the ability to recognize the fact that a shape remains the same despite changes in size, direction, orientation & distance.

Children with poor form-constancy may not recognize shapes, numbers & letters, & may frequently reverse letters & numbers. Here are some activities to help: * Outline jigsaws enable a child to see how individual parts fit together to make a whole

* "In The Pantry" I Spy - Let your child raid your pantry, & find the current number or letter on the packaging

* "Different Fonts" I Spy - look for specific numbers or letters in magazines, catalogs, on your calendar etc, cut & paste them into a notebook

* Visual discrimination cards
